Pennzoil Platinum

looking for a full synthetic, I found Pennzoil platinum on Amazon (subscribe and save) for $36.00 6 quarts. Does anyone use this and or recommend Pennzoil products?

Thanks, Jim

I use it. From the oil analysis reports posted here on the site, it scores higher than Mobil 1.

x2, use Platinum with a wix filter. Love the combo and definitely just pick it up at Walmart, much cheaper

I am currently running the PP 10 w 30 in my car with a Mobil 1 filter. I have about 2400 miles on it so far, and I like it. Oil is still relatively clear. Usually by now it would be black.

The best one to get is Pennzoil Ultra (without the Platinum name) if you can find it.

It's about 8 - 9 bucks a qt

Someone said this in another thread:

They did just change Pennzoil Plat and it isn't as good any more. If you can find the older spec stock up on it, the new stuff isn't nearly as good.
Quote:
The Pennzoil API SM was the good stuff, they just switched to API SN and the wear rating testing went down something like 25%. It is stupid and sucks. Ohh well. Just move on to another decent oil.

That's why I posted the "Ultra", it's different than Platinum or Platinum Ultra. I'm now seeing that Walmart isn't carrying it anymore. Need to find some before my next oil change.
