I have been off the grid for a while but enjoyed reviewing your build. You will get the kinks ironed out cause you and I both know that motor is capable of much, much more!

Thanks!

This shipped today! With a 95mm inducer, it’s slightly larger than a YSi-B. Should be interesting at full send. Although Im sure I will be short on injector.

Giving Thompson Motorsports a crack at the bid on my short block. Already got a good bid from CNC Motorsports, and a sort of disappointing bid from Late Model Engines. Also considering buying all of the parts and have Owens Racing Engines put them together since they are close and do good work. Options, options, options. Good to have them.

I read an interesting article on another forum when I was investigating cranks. A guy said that a build with inferior parts put together by an expert/pro will outlast a build with superior parts put together by the average Joe. Think I tend to agree with this perspective.

Could be true, I have built lots of diesel engines but a forged LSX motor would be a first. Lots of measure twice cut once. Clean everything and inspect it making sure everything is correct.

I would imaging LME charges a premium, but also put out an excellent, reliable product. Thompson has some really great pricing if you catch one of their sales. The 1 year warranty they offer gives me a warm fuzzy feeling too.

I figure of the SBE can take the abuse I (and many others) have thrown at them, even the less expensive forged stuff should be good for what I want to do.

The blower is in, but....

My 10mm wratcheting end wrench decided to play ping pong in my engine bay and lodged itself into my new champion 3 core radiator (fml). Multiple punctures. New one in route.

Just bought a beach condo, so that remodel is a priority.
