Question for you black camaro owners

Hi, I recently saw a picture of the black sixth gen and It really made me think about possibly getting a black one. It is absolutely beautiful.

So my question is.... given how dirty they get and how easily they get dirty, is it worth it to you? The time spent cleaning it? Waxing polishing? Would you do it again?

I really think black is the best color for these cars, but that's when it is showroom clean.

Just trying to get some input on whether or not it is totally worth it to you guys who own them.

A big concern I have is my family farms and there is always dust floating around where I live so if I did end up getting a black I think it would be covered in dust 2 seconds after being clean.

But man those things are so pretty when it's clean

Well , never say never , one day you will see a let's say red one , and you will say something like this
Well it looks good but
Then you are just going about your day and you come to a black one , and you will go ,,,,holyshit ,,,, and you are done
So , yes, I had a Black 2010 ss
And last year I sold it and got another BLACK ZLONE ,AKA fiat500E

Have had several black vehicles, to include my current Camaro, and for me it's worth the extra work and, yes, I would/will do it again.

I have only had one black car in my life and I loved it but, it was Alain in the you know what to keep clean, and like someone above said I have ocd and would want to keep it clean. You really have to love a black car to go with the color.

Wanted to emphasize this. I am not OCD, but do like to spend time paying attention to the cosmetic, I dunno, health, of my car.

This is my first black car. Would I have another? Yeah, but probably not on my daily driver.

I have a black one, washed/waxed once since I had it. Keep it in the garage, with wax it looks nice and clean. I think some people are paranoid about any dust getting on their car. Some dust will get on it but that's fine and won't be noticeable unless you look up close. On the street it will look shiny and clean. If you like black, get black. It won't be different than any other color and you only need to clean it once every two months unless you want it super shiny/clean. Which really is impossible to achieve once you get in street and any dust comes your way.

Most people exaggerate it OP, get it in black it will be fine.

Although the color of mine is called carbon flash metallic, it's basically metallic black. I love it, it is more work, but mine is not a daily driver so it's not too much more work for me.

They do show the dirt more than other colors but I agree they are the best looking in black and for sure worth it. My SS isn't a daily driver so it doesn't get dirty that often. Mine tends to get dusty and it's really easy to clean it off with one of these California Duster things, takes less than 5 minutes.

Well I just detail spray the shit out of my car so I wash it once every 2 months i'd say, it looks showroom perfect, I spend about 1-2 hours per week cleaning it. That includes detail spray and spray wax. As far as buffing I wanna say i'll hit small areas now and then but when I do it good i'll generally only do a finishing polish once every 6 months and it takes me a good 8 hours to do it. Personally I'd rather have a white camaro vs black or the red metallic one. But black had the biggest discount for me at the time.
