Turbo or Super?

I’m looking for some input on turbo or superchargers for my ride. I’m just trying to get to the 500-600whp range. I don’t track my car often but I just like to drive the roads and stuff and have fun etc. was wondering what would be better for reliability and longevity. I’m sure there are a lot of different opinions, would just like to here them to help me with my decision. Hi I have a 2015 SS with some small mods ie BBK shorties 1 3/4 headers and a BBK cold air intake. Exhaust is still 2 1/2 in but I straight lilies it from the cats back.
Thanks
Vincent

Lots of opinions, keep reading and decide for yourself. I decided to go with the Heartbeat sc, waiting on it to be delivered.

it really depends on usage. to make searching the site easy type whatever you need into google and then put site:www . camaro5 . com [without any of the spaces just didn't want it to turn into a link or something]. It makes searching the site a million times easier and you can use it for any site really.

Personally I went with the ECS Centrifugal Supercharger kit in the end. It will work great for what I am using it for and I have endless possibilities of expansion in the future. The base kit will net you the gain that you are looking for but so will a lot of the other options.

That being said if its not a track or strip car and you like it for fun drives some type of Roots or PD blower might be the route you want to look into. Instant torque makes for a lot of fun driving on the streets. Do some research and find out what you like best, but with what you say you want it for I think that would be a great direction to start looking in. You can usually snatch up an LSA kit used for a good price on here or on some of the FB groups or you can always contact ADM Performance. They sell new LSA swap kits and Andy is a great person to work with.

Are you cammed? Do we have all the information? I ask because if stock is A and FI is J, there’s a few boxes in between you might want to check off first.

Your already invested with headers and intake, plus with your lower power goals i would go with a lsa blower, if you had higher power goals I would say a whipple or agp tt kit, good luck on your build

I'm going with a procharger.
a couple of reason and people will agree or disagree.
Lower IAT
against a top mounted supercharger you are not straining on the block.
and it looks better for me on my opinion.

Thanks for all the input I’m looking for something reliable and something I can throw on a stock block and not have to worry to much.

Supercharger for sure, turbo system will run very hot and will have to work out heat related issues more so than a supercharger system.

Agp tt kit doesnt have any heat issues(as long as you follow the direction about the passenger side wire harness), I have put about 14k or so miles on it and no issues, but i would agree with that about top mounted turbo systems
