OK, lets think about this a little different... Gm makes the GMC truck and Chevy truck... both are great trucks, but the GMC is usually a little higher quality, used to be more so, but not as much any more.

So, whoever makes the Coilovers for Pedders could be making a similar model for someone else, but to less stringent standards and requirements.....

I normally don't like aligning myself with PQ but I have to agree. I feel a whole lot better buying from Pete. I know that his stuff is backed and most importantly he trusts his family in the vehicles. I know the Pedders stuff will deliver what it promises.

If a company doesn't want to answer a direct question, I don't see how getting aggressive solves anything. Without speaking for everyone, I like to know a lot about what I buy, especially when the products are expensive. If someone cannot provide the information I need to make an educated purchase, I ask someone else or do business somewhere else.

As far as businesses go on Camaro5, I'm confident that everyone who has been here for a while delivers a quality product. Is it the right product for you? You decide.

some things are proprietary though. (not saying this is the case with suspension) At some point a company likes to keep it's trade secrets to themselves. The sense of entitlement and info in the country today is disturbing to me.

I'm generalizing a bit and not directing my comments to anyone in particular but to corner a company on it and elude to a possible deception is unfair in my opinion.

It's perfectly fair to try and find out for whatever purpose someone has. Wether to want to cut out the middle man, or make a comparison, or to start a business of there own selling the same components/services. But to somehow vilify someone for not giving too much info is wrong to me.

I probably could have been more clear. I don't need to know everything. I just want to know enough to be confident in my equipment. Expecting anyone to give up trade secrets for a sale is abusive of a customer.

That being said, I still don't think anyone has cracked the secret sauce ingredients in a BigMac.

I was just trying to find information on those coilovers , seeing as they are almost $1,000.00 cheaper . There are a lot of things I can do with that thousand dollars. I didn't start the thread to get in to a brand war . Someone says that they're cheap chinese copies , well , where is your source ? where did you come up with this ? did you just assume that from the price ? . I've also been told that only two companies make bushings . Red ranger , and the second I believe was white line (i'm guessing on the second , it was a while ago ) . You are all fine to want to pay more for customer service , but not everyone wants to drop $1,600.00 on coilover when there are two other options , a $999.00 option , and a $759.00 option . Again , I'm not trying to start a brand war , or besmirch any company .

He read it on the internet. If it's on the internet it HAS to be true.

/sarcasm
Didn't mean to offend. I was trying to make a funny. IMO though, Pete can ignore the question if he wants to.
