Congrats! Now that's what I love to see in cases like these: a smoking gun as evidence
OMW to a dealer to test drive one as we speak, so great timing to learn the news. Thanks! |

Can you post the pictures of those wires when you get a chance please? If it's an easy fix I wouldn't need to wait till my appointment next week Thanks again

I'll try tomorrow morning. It's gonna be tough to capture with a camera without a little bit of work I think. Maybe I can find a schematic or blowup of the engine bay and circle it or something.

I figured it out after looking carefully and created this thread with pictures in General section as it doesn't seem like an isolated issue specific to 1LE owners only

Fantastic of you posting this. I do hope GM has a RECALL/Tech Bulletin/whatever necessary to:
1) advise their dealer techs what the root cause it and how to fix it. 2) do preventative maint on existing customer cars so it is avoided even if not present today Great effort - thank you! |

Thanks again for both fixes.
We need a sticky subject for these so they are easily found by any existing/new/potential owners. Now I have a work list for a dealer before picking up mine (hopefully during June sale event). Cheers! Is there a GM rep that attends this forum? |

OP here. I really appreciated everyone taking up the cause on this topic though some doubted me when I originally posted. Like I said later in this thread, I did buy the car that was showing these symptoms with only 9 miles on her.
I've been taking it pretty easy with her for the past 290 miles and I've resisted trying to duplicate the problem I noticed during the test drive. Now that it seems like there is a known issue with the wire harness, I will take a look at mine and report back. It would be real interesting to know that with only 9 miles on the car that the wiring would already start wearing through. |
