Camaro Wave

I had the opportunity to rent a Corvette when I went to Florida, I noticed that many of the Other Corvette guys Wave, beep or flash their lights at each other,
however I notice that many other drivers of Camaros that I come across don't even bother the look.

That is because only about half of Camaro drivers are true enthusiasts, (if that) the other half are “people who bought a car that looks cool.”

99.9% of Corvette owners are enthusiasts.

I don’t even bother anymore. I’ve literally sat beside other Camaros at red lights and the driver not even throw up a hand. Screw ‘em. Unless the car is modded or otherwise goes out of thier way to speak...I don’t even make an effort.

I come from the Toyota FJ Cruiser world, and we would always wave to each other or give a thumbs up. I have noticed most Camaro guys don't even look my way lol

I came from the Jeep and Mini Cooper world. Both worlds were friendly and waved all the time. Most Camaro owners I've come across don't wave but I do out of habit. As stated before, most Camaro owners are not enthusiasts. There are very few modified Gen5 Camaros in my area so its no big deal. To be honest, I'm too wrapped up enjoying this car to notice the other cars around me.

It is a little heartbreaking. I wave at modified Camaros. That's usually a giveaway of who's an enthusiast.

As a former Corvette owner of a 1987 Corvette Roadster - this is true. As for the Camaro World, I hate to say but this is true as well. Although, I was waved at by an older gentleman in a newer Camaro blue in color last week which I thought was cool.

Own both ... Constantly get waves from other Corvette drivers when driving mine; never get waves from other Camaro owners when driving my Camaro. Tried waving a few times to other Camaro drivers, but apparently they were in their own little world & didn't wave back, so I stopped trying.

Does it really matter? Do you really need to be acknowledged because you drive like automobiles?

I wave at all camaros even Mustangs & Dodges. I just like all muscle cars no matter what their driving even tuners. I go to a tuner show every year with my camaro and have met a lot of nice people.

I agree.....it doesn't make a big shidt in the scheme of things.
I hafta admit, I have a Vette as well as my Camaro...I've only tried waving a couple times with my Camaro, to no avail, but those in Vette's always wave....so I just leave it at that!

Sometimes I get the bike-a-roid salute from bike-a-roids. I'm just glad they are going the opposite direction so I don't have to be behind them at 10-15 under.

I noticed this more when I just got my 1st Gen5 in 2010. Almost every other Gen5 would wave. Now, not so much.
