Cam installed, L99 AFM-1! love it!
Finally got around to installing my VVT AFM-1 Camshaft, and dual springs. Could not be more happy with the sound and lope for a .500 cam, Your listening to my Long tube TSP headers without cats, QTP exhaust cutouts, and muffler delete, Cold air inductions intake and Texas speed AFM-1 for L99 engines.
Bought the cam for sound and to drive it regularly, added 45bhp with an amazing chopping lope. Anyone with an L99 that wants to add some horsepower/sound, and keep alot of your stock engine internals i recommend this engine to anyone! This is a quick walk around, will share and update more sounds later on. |

I assume you also had it tuned and AFM is no longer active.

Let's go Rangers!

The lifters "may not be needed" but the L99 lifters suck and you'd be way better off changing them.

I'm putting the AFM 2 in mine this weekend.. Did you have to use a phaser limiter.??? I heard those cams if under .230 duration there is no valve clearance issue

How's the installation? My uncle is looking to get AFM 2 as well for his incoming Camaro project. It's in the shop for the brake pads and tires from 4Wheelonline, plus the alignment.
