It will be right in line, maybe $2-3k more than the zl1/gt500.
Rumor is it went easy 10s with manual car, and auto should be well into the 10s.

No such thing as "easy 10's" for us mortals, unless you count street racing.
We have to put a rollbar in our cars for 11.49 and quicker. And if you're going to put a rollbar in, you might as well tweak the snot out of it anyhow. Hopefully they don't do a dick move and put bigger than 18" rims on the rear. It sucks to buy new rims just to get traction at the strip. I will guess the price at $59,995.

I know a lot of local tracks, even the strict one here are allowing 2008+ factory power adder cars to run to 10.0 without a bar, just jacket/helmet.

Meh. It's easy peasy to make mid 700's rwhp on a ZL1, so who cares?

Was talking to my buddy last night about his 13 GT500. He said he was faster than me. Of course it is since mine is still stock. Not going to be the same story if I spend the money I saved MSRP vs MSRP on my ZL1. Then it would be a different story.

3 pieces missing from this to me are
1. curb weight should be like ~4400lbs (for the record that is heavy) 2. Price ?????? 60-65k sweet deal 70-75k and I am at who cares in some was too much money. 3. with the wieght increase will it trun at all. For the record though I think this is awesome. people on the internet have turned it to bickering tard hater's IMO. 707hp is just awesome IMO it drives ford and chevy to try to awnswer with something. I like the new HP wars. weather or not I would own one??? see items 1-3.

The 2014 Challenger R/T (V8/Auto) is 4082lb.
If any attempt at weight reduction is made at all to the Hellcat, it should not go over 4200 in the worst case. It will only hit 4400lb if they don't care about weight reduction.

It's interesting to see the hellcat makes 700 hp with a proposed 2.4 liter blower as compared with the new Z06 making 650 hp with a 1.7 liter blower.

Well, I was strongly considering selling my 2010 SS (or finish paying it off since I only owe ~$8000 on it) and getting a zl1 or a stingray.
I have to tell you that now I'm strongly leaning towards this new beast. 707 hp straight from the dealership is wild!! I know the zl1 has a better suspension and it's lighter but in a straight line (which is probably ill ever do at a track, if I ever go to one) the zl1 is gonna get beat by the cat. That hellcat is gonna be bad ass and who knows maybe dodge will wize up and get a better suspension and loose some weight with next year's model. Either way, I've gone from thinking i missed the boat and was stuck with my 2010 to now being in a great position to make a choice. The next car I buy (zl1, stingray or hellcat) is gonna be the car I pass down to my kids. GM better strap on its boots and come up with something good for the next remake of the zl1, if they even choose to continue it. |

If this car comes in around 60K they won't be able to keep them on the lots.

I expect to see a bunch of dealers charging "market adjustment" of $10k-$15k.
