Looking good man. Front plate, eh!? My dealer won't install them though they are required in California. They make you sign a legal document that you're taking possession without it and its your fault if you get caught.

It basically means NEVER have even one beer and drive. The penalty in CA is super steep including big fines with loads (like months) of civic duty or mandatory jail sentencing on the first offense.

Meh! I hate "winter".

We FINALLY had a nice day and I washes the whole car and the wheels super clean like new and sealed the driver side. Even got a nice drive on and bent the car sideways between 1st and 2nd.

Thanks thanks...I'm pretty happy with it. Altho I noticed the vinyl pulled out from under the grille *just* enough that you can see a sliver of yellow near the center if you look. Also it decided to downpour as I was leaving, so no more pics from earlier.
Got my gill stripes on tonight. I bought the super cheap $18 set from rpi...it looks like they didn't cut them quite evenly. The initial effect is great, but again, on close inspection one or two look a little crooked in part (no, it really wasn't something I did). Pics will come tomorrow...

Just don't drive it the same. Mix things up. After cruising 11mph for 20 mins ill wind up 3rd gear then let it decompress down in traffic. Then rev it back up and decompress again. Rinse and repeat a few times. Then I'll go back to commute crap driving.

oh, and regarding my front plate...my salesman managed to keep them from doing anything as far as cleaning it up for me, but i guess the holder gets installed during pdi, maybe? idk, it looks like a clean install at least, so i'm not heated about it like i thought i'd be, and it avoids possible LEO issues, so...meh.

11mph for 20 mins??? i'd go crazy...limit varies between 25-35mph in the 5 miles between my house and work. my leftover habit from the 5spd cavalier is to put it up to 5th around 30-35mph if i'm not going to accelerate anymore...great for mileage in town. i'm not going to normally make that drive with car tho, friends at work just wanted to check it out, so i took it in for a few days supposed to be my weekend fun car, not my commuter lol

Oh, man. You're lucky. Not your daily driver!? Mine is. And that means driving to work, which is 20 minutes away at 65MPH on weekends, at 11.7MPH and constant stop / go shifting without getting the RPMs above 3K. On work days this drive can be 20-30 minutes, 40 minutes, and hour or 1.25 hours. At least I'm in the 1LE though I'm stressing about getting rear ended or rear ending someone else.

the manual allows you 4k, and 80mph btw i guess you're shooting for a 1500 mile break-in? i can't do that out here...well, maybe i could if i started going to some car club cruise nights out here. just been working late on those days and haven't had the energy afterwards
