If your reply was to me I didn't say it would. What I said was the Z/28 or what ever they call it will be a very limited production car that will be out of the price point of most people. Cafe is going to move the V-8's out of the masses hands.

I've got my fingers crossed for it being standard.

Disappointing...

They already have a 2.8 turbo (LP9), so what is the point of a turbocharged 3.0?

Wish they had used the 3.6 LLT as showcased in the "Leno" car, a lot of us would have been grateful for the possibilities that would have created.

I guess even a twin turbocharged V6 is not allowed to trump a NA V8, d*mn politics...

dont underestimate a motor with lower displacement....chevys pretty famous for producing motors of similar or smaller sizes to other companies that completely demolish what the competition has..

As much as I would love to see the V6 become a turbo V6 I just don't see it happening unless the V8 is phased out or Ford introduces a turbo V6 for the Mustang. I don't see either of those happening. More likely scenario is that the turbo 6 will be used as the upgrade engine option for the sedans to get performance and fuel economy. It might be introduced as an upgrade for the v6, but I don't see it as the base as it would cause the base price to increase closer to the v8 base.

Well its like this. The V8 will be around for a long while but once fuel spikes up over 4 bucks a gallon people tend to look towards HP and Fuel economy. If you are one of those rare people who don't care about gas that must be nice but when when it gets close to 100 bucks to fill your tank with the good stuff it only takes so long before you wonder what you were thinking when you bought the car. I personally love the idea of turbos because you can get the power and have the potential of good gas mileage. Just my 2 cents.
