Striping Help Please!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

All right boys and girls, I need some help here.
I recently purchased my 2012 ashen grey SS coupe and I need to know what color striping I should put on this, I'm pretty sure I want hockey stripes and either Hood spears or rally stripes with it. So what I need mainly from you guys is color suggestions, I'm having a tough time cause my color is a hard one to stripe. I originally was going to do matte/flat black but I'm just not sure it will be seen. I don't need to be over the top ridiculous with like yellow or blue or something but I would like it to be noticed.
So please help me with your ideas on what to incorporate with the hockey stripes, rally or spear? And most of all what color would look BEST??

My 2 cents... Paint the stripes dont decal it. I would like to see your car color have ghosted stripes in a shade a tad darker with some silver blue pearl mixed in. There is a whole huge thread with stripe color combos. Good luck.

Browse around in there for a few hours and you will end up like me. Completely in love with about six to ten different stripe packages and your car will still be stripeless like mine hahaha.

As for painting, I agree with the above poster, it looks and holds up better, BUT I've known the OP IRL for about 8 years or more. He changes his mind a lot

IDK If I'd want to lock myself into one style permanantly myself. There are SO many cool options out there.

Also check out the NS1 and NS3 stripes from nightshades. They're very unique and NOBODY in our area has them yet.

If you have an aspen grey. Do not put anything on it. Throw it in storage and leave it for 20-30 yrs. That's a one of a kind car

I'll definitely check those out from night shade and Thanks for your help through texting kid... at least my mine is set on hockey stripes and center stripe now... and make sure you get your ass down to my house when my stripe samples come in so you can help me choose. And maybe we can put your delay of stripes to rest as well!!

Hey since when did they start making the Camaro in "Aspen" grey?

Or did you mean to say "Ashen" grey, like someone else said, if it is Aspen grey then you have a one of a kind, however I see lots of Ashen gray Camaros driving around out there

read your post title too fast .... dah-i was going to say >>a pole and music .... but instead how about black or darker gray and a red outline/pinstripe !! ..... its a very sharp car to begin with and stripping or striping it would make it POP ...I don't think you will be able to retire on the resale of the car in 20-30 yrs especially if you drive and enjoy it now .... so i wouldn't leave it plain ...
just say'n... if I had kept my 1969 440 R/T and it was still in good condition today maybe I could be having a 770HP Camaro ... right now ...=))

For all the smart asses out there I changed my aspen to ashen for ya...... obviously it was a typo . You can see my avatar to left with it spelled correctly, so that would of been your first clue!!!
