On the stock pipe piece you cut out you will notice a crimped section to clear the body. The QTP one does not have that crimped section. I was getting a vibration noise from the heat shield touching the pipe. I heated the QTP pipe up with a torch and smashed it in slightly and no more vibration. Others have installed them without issue but I would rather be safe then sorry.

Also the instructions to not tell you the correct location to cut the pipe, it says something like cut X number of inches from the H pipe but that dimension is wrong. My advise cut it long and trim back once you can hold the pipe up there to make sure you don't cut too much off.
