Other than that, if the performance numbers ring in slightly better than the cts-v then I'd call it a wrap!

Hey I've seen you on TBssowner and LS1 Tech

  • No automatic - zl1 is a sports race car if you think that a automatic is better then put in a dual clutch transmission instead.
  • No convertible - the extra 500lb is not going to help it on the track
  • Yes sunroof - this one is not to expensive to put in
  • A double din screen with GPS that displayed car stats like lap time, g-force, horse power and torque.(my phone dose this, android torque) mylink would be nice too.
  • A different blue would be nice (or more bolder colors)
  • The steering wheel should keep the round center with the Camaro on it, but i like the buttons and flat bottom on the new ZL1.
  • Move the dam Aux gauges up on the dash or on the window column, the gauges are pointless down there, or even into the double din screen.
  • Carbon fiber trim on the interior, with non-suede like leather on the steering wheel, and on the dash too, suede-like materiel on the seat sounds good, i am not sure if that suede-like materiel will feel that comfortable on the hands for extended periods of time.
  • I would like to see a gauge cluster like the Lexus LFA
  • I noticed the they removed the hood vent( the 1.5ft long vent above the grill, on the SS models) i thing you should put it back, it make me think there is a v6 in the zl1.
  • Offer the wider stripes package (TF3 style)
  • Release the ZL1 before July (for TF3) you should get a surge of orders if the movie is good.
  • Keep it under $50,000 the rumored $47,000 for the current ZL1 is urging me to wait for it. anything over is a no.
  • Yes bluetooth
  • I really hate the turn signal in the front (rather have Led or built into the halo.
  • This might be over kill but i still like it, sequential LED tail lights
  • Maybe not the ZL1 but i would like to see a 4WD Camaro with magnetic suspension. (some thing that is switchable on and off, so we can still do burn outs.)
  • A lighter Camaro (less weight )

Wow, several mean spirited people on this forum. Questions were simple. Would you buy an auto if available. I ask because I enjoy the horsepower but my wife is disabled so the car would need to be used by both of us. Lets just answer the question as a yes/no without trying to insult or hurt someone else's feelings. Please just answer the 3 questions and don't hijack the thread with other concerns. If you have other concerns please start your own thread.

UH, well, UH back to the regular scheduled program.

I see it's a party here now.. LOL! I happen to think of myself as NOT being a Homo, but... LOL!

Anywho...

-I don't have anything against OFFERING an Auto, BUT... I would buy in manual trim that's for sure.

-NO convertible.. EVERYTHING on this car is functional and I do not believe offering the extra weighted convertible option would have any function.

-I also would LOVE to see some sort of double din that would show lateral g's, boost, ect... Or just a double din with typical uses rather then what's being used as of now.

-I personally LOVE the newly designed steering wheel, as well as what has been done thus far with the interior.

-NASTY power numbers to compete with the GT500
*On this note, please do not make it so that a measly aftermarket tune pushes the limits of the trans, or clutch, or whatever else you can think of. I personally would be doing some sort of Intake, exhaust, and tune to bump the factory numbers a smidge as well as give me the edge over anyone that MAY be in my power bracket.

-Price under 50k

Last but not least.... THANK YOU GM!! I am a TRUE loyal customer that has not owned ANYTHING but GM products. Seeing the ZL1 coming around like this brings a tear of joy to my eyes.. LOL!

I am quite sure that if Chevy can bring the ZL1 with an automatic and meet their requirements, they will do it. Just because there was a small piece of paper on the dash that possibly indicated an automatic / supercharged camaro being tested, does not mean that the car will actually be made. Being tested and being made are two different things. Just because the CTS-V has it does not mean that it will automatically filter down to the Camaro. The Caddy has had a pop-up nav system since the inception that most likely will never make it into the Camaro.

Scott, thanks for helping to bring the ZL1 to all of us. I look forward to you signing my ZL1 after it arrives next year.

Anyway these 3 things I would be interested in to buy a Camaro.

Hope GM is listening!!!
Well, when I order mine...if those items you listed were options...I would say...
1) No.
2) No.
3) No.
All nice things to some I imagine, but not for me personally........

Technically, to really stay true to the name plate's heritage, you're right.
