Just found out from my General Manager that my order is being picked up next Thursday. So thrilled.

(1100) Order placed at dealership. Order passed GM edit tables but dealer has not received allocation to place order.

(1102) Order entered via web.

Well this is why its confusing to me that some can order and my dealer says no. BTW i'm not mad at my daler at all and I did not mind placing the deposite because I am buying the car. I'm sure if that can"t meet there end of the agreement that I will get my deposite back. I checked alot of my area dealers way back when and they all wanted like 10k over MSRP so I went out of state to get one at MSRP. Now there's actually one in my area almost exactly in my area mention by a fellow forum reader that he
can give to some one because he wants a 2013 instead. Figures

The dealership said that it will be rolled to the front of the line but I wasn't confident in that answer. Anyone else have confirmation one way or the other on where the rolled over ZL1 orders will end up?

What the posting i saw said was that approx. 500 additional units will be 2012 the remain appox. 600 units would be produced as 2013 in the first dosp cycle for the 2013. That tells me that GM will honor the 2012 allocations with 2013 but, it will probably depend on your deal as well.

Yeah, unless you're thinking about jumping dealers, I'd tell them to keep trying until they get it in the system. Or have them call the DSM and see what the issue is or something. Best of luck!

The order is in the system as an 1102 and it is the second of two valid allocations at this dealership. According to them, many dealerships that received two allocations generally had one built and the other rolled over to 2013. What I'd like to know is does my 2012 allocation stay in the system as it is now so I don't need to worry about it? Or does the dealership need to resubmit a new order for 2013? If they must resubmit, how does GM know it was the rolled over allocation to go to the front of the line?

I am hopeful that we just need to leave the order as is to maintain the "place in line".

For goPC:

Thinks may differ from one side of our borders to another, but I can tell you what's happened to me over the last two days to see if it may help.
My dealer called me yesterday and advised that my on-order 2012 would not be built as such.

I attended there this morning and re-ordered the same ZL1, MY 2013. As they have had no submissions for 2013, I've been told that I will in fact receive the car as a 2013. I'm comfortable with my salesperson, but will continue to keep breathing...
Alll-new paperwork was fully completed to replace the earlier 2012 order.
I wanted to maximize my chances of getting the car without another long and uncertain process.

For what it may be worth, both he and the Sales Manager signed the new paperwork, absent 2013 pricing, at the same 2012 MSRP that I'd had earlier. Again, I'll wait and see what happens from there.

That said, two things to add- I'm so happy for all of you that are writing to let us know that you've received your 2012 vehicles, and how amazingly happy you are to have them! I wish that I was among you.
Secondly, I'd ordered a personalized Ontario, Canada licence plate noting "ZL1 2012".
As sadly it will never work for me, if any Ontario ZL1 owner would like it, PM me and let me know, as it's for sale, cost only. I would not make money from fellow Camaro enthusiasts...
I'd hate to have it go to waste as it identifies a very special and rare car.

Again, congratulations to all of you new ZL1 owners.

I am sure if you post your plates in the Canadian section it will sell fast

Thank you. Heres a tip, keep checking around, dealer stock ZL1's will show up unexpectedly, without a buyer, or one whose buyer dropped out...and you might be in the right place at the right time to score. Keep trying everybody. It will all pan out, and I know from my personal experience it's worth the effort to stay on it.
