Thanks for your help and time.
I did bought extra rims + winter tires + TPMS and mount them over the weekend.
Bought the following TPMS on Amazon for 29.4$ each : ACDelco 13586335 GM Original Equipment Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensor

1LE Rim protection

I believe our 1LE rims are painted? Do you guys use anything on them to protect them like we would with a polish and sealer for polished aluminum rims?

Another gentlemen on this forum recommended 'Bouncers Looking Sweet' wheel wax. I tried it and it's excellent. It really resists the brake powder from sticking. I cleaned the wheels real well with an all wheel cleaner, rinsed them off good and proceeded to use this wax. Each wheel took some time, not because of the product but I wanted a real thorough coat on everything.

It is still on there and the wheels need a lot less attention. I clean them now with just water and a terry cloth covered application pad. I sometimes put some Turtle wax quick detailer on that pad. The Bouncers is still on there and they look great.

I have a buddy with BFGoodrich g-Force Rival Extreme Performance Summer
315/35/20 on the rear of his 1LE. He loves them and says traction is amazing. Only thing is he is worried more about straight line take off and semi-cornering not track cornering. Anyone know anyone else that went that big on the back tires?

Anyone running a 295 or 305 all season in the rear? Any recommendations.

I'm thinking of keeping the 285's up front and going a bit wider in the back with a 295 or 305. It will need to be an all season

Pros and/or cons anyone?

Just a DD with no plans to track. Just wanting the power to the ground

Getting rid of the semi square set up we have on the 1LE will induce some under steer. That being said I plan to go 285 f 305 r like the ZL1. I will use a Pedders Permagrin kit which will neutralize most if not all of that induced under steer.

For anyone that is looking for another option, here is the wheel/tire package that I have been using on my car for the past few weeks.

Sport Muscle CM5 - 20x9 on all four corners
Goodyear Eagle GT (W-speed rated) 275/40ZR20

So far this setup has been very comfortable to drive and the fear of cracking a tire has gone away. And it is fun to confuse people at work with the updated look!

It seems everyone is regurgitating this....99% of us aren't going to notice a difference in steering going from a 285 to 295

If you track the car like it was set up to do it will be noticeable. It depends on the use of the car. But yes, most won't notice.
