Cool So what makes the ZL1 a speacial car?

So since I've started visiting this great C5 web site a few years ago I've always wanted the ZL1.

I joined a few months after purchasing my 13' 2LT/RS V6. I was curious on how to do the oil change and after a simple Google search found C5!

After modding the heck out of the V6 car the wife gave me the go ahead to sell it and purchased a ZL1. So my dreams came true.

So now onto the topic at hand. What about the ZL1 makes the car so special for you?

The car does everything extremely well. But for me it is these two things:

The Mag Ride and Supercharger. I see a lot of SS peeps who seem to think that just adding a S/C to a standard SS will put them in the same boat a ZL1. The ZL1 is soo much more....I truly feel you have to drive one to really understand that a ZL1 is in a class of Camaro by itself.

So what is "it" for you guys?

Here are a few ZL1 highlights just for though..

Exterior:
-Aluminum Hood w/ Carbon Fiber "Mohawk" Extractors
-The full Lighting package (full exterior lighting package)
-ZL1 Front Fascia (the one everyone seems to posse with on their V6 or SS)
-Rocker Moldings with Extension
-ZL1 Rims and Wheels

Interior:
-Microfiber seats
-Microfiber accents and IP carbon flash metallic inserts
-Flat bottom steering wheel
-Heads up Display (HUD) w/ "G" force meter.
-200MPH speedometer

Performance:
-6.2L Supercharged V8 Engine (LSA)
-Eaton 1.9L Supercharger
-Tremec (TR60606) 6-Speed Manual
-Short throw shifter
-Hydra-Matic 6L90 6-Speed Automatic
-Rear Differential Cooler
-Underbody Belly Pan
-High Performance Fuel System (ZL1 fuel pump)
-Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) w/"Magneto-Rheological fluid technology"
-Performance Track Management (PTM)
-Brembo Brakes (6-piston front vs. 4-piston rear)
-Dual Mode Exhaust
-Electrically Assisted Steering (EAS)
-ZL1 rear end components (unbreakable)

I like the fact that you don't have to talk about it like the haves and the have nots. The car speaks for itself...in my humble opinion.

ZL1 is the king of the road.... Its a true head turner! I own a ZL1 and I still break my neck when a ZL1 passes by. I dont feel the same way about the SS.

Take a look at the undercarriage on a zl1. Never seen a drivetrain stock as beefy as this one

Fits a complete car. You don't have to do anything really to it. It's got it all!

I think the Recaro seats add to the comfort factor especially in corners. Its a complete muscle car.

It's just so much fun. I just got back from two days out of town in mine. To have all that power and the electronics to help you get that power to the ground is just awesome. My girlfriend is starting to get the speed itch too. After taking her 100+mph for the first time in her life today.

The ride & the power and the tech. the styling, the noise. I feel bad for my neighbors when I left at 5:30 in the morning one day.

I feel like a prince when I drive it.
