6th Gen - Things I'm Not Impressed With
Correction I feel Chevrolet needs to make to the 6th gen Camaro although there are some massive improvements.
The power button looks ridiculous the way it sticks out so obviously, although I do like the blue ring. Even If it controls the volume, at least make it black with some grip. I would like to see other options altogether. Although the SS looks great, the LT model has a wider lower grill. On a positive note, the chrome strip from the RS package appears to be gone (as it should be), but now I see two chrome strips on lower LT grill. The RS badge also looks ridiculous on the LT models. The RS badge looks ridiculous on the rear bumper as well regardless of which model. I also think its about time for Chevy to change the design of the Camaros SS spoiler. Also: bose Audio, automatic 1LE, 20" optional black wheels Last edited by CamaroBody; 05-16-2015 at 07:31 PM. |

That reader bumper crease is hideous.

I'd like to see an SS badge where the bow tie emblem is on the rear end.

I'm curious as to why the SS comes with a 6 instead of a 7 speed manual like the vette. Heck it was already certified with the LT1 so what's the deal?

GM is damned if they do, damned if they dont.
One side bitches and moans that everything about the camaro looks like a camry or other. GM goes and does something totally different, and now we get.... You can't look at that last SS picture of the rear above and say it isn't aggressive. At least IMO.

I think dashboard area the encloses the speedometer, tach and other gauges is way to chunky and looks out of proportion to the rest of the interior. It looks like it could impede visibility. A link to high res media photos is below.

I'm not sure having a ratio less than 0.5:1 would be very useful. The Corvette is ~300lb lighter so can probably take advantage of that. The camaro would probably run in 4 cylinder mode less often w/ the 7 speed and negate any fuel economy benefit. From a performance standpoint, gears 1-6 are identical to the M7 (at least the non-Z51 M7). With that said, I was hoping for the M7 as well as long as their was no weight penalty. |

The thing that I seen they did was introduce interior induction sound when you accerlerate. Good thing you have the option to turn it off on the SS. Not so much on the Turbo I4. Another thing I don't care for is the placement of the SS Badge. I would place it on the side right below the side Camaro emblem.

Only thing's i don't like:
Wing on the back. Camaro should have a regular spoiler. Plastic vents on the hood. The badges look too low front and rear. |
