As for the column lock bypass, this link gives a brief description of the issue: http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=24
I am sure it looks awesome... I always thought they sat a tad high... as does the Camaro. I suppose GM has to build them for the masses and let us fix the short comings.

That would have been nice to know when I had the C6... not sure why I never investigated that... I really liked the look on the C5. Oh well... thanks for the info.

The lock thing is interesting... never experienced that. I didn't have my C5 that long... didnt really care for it. I would still have the C6 if the Camaro hadn't come along. I really liked the C6 but keeping both wasn't an option unfortunately. I thought about selling a kidney or somehting but...

I'd lower my Camaro, too, but it's pretty much my daily driver, and there is all kinds of construction and bumps and bad roads by where I work. So for now, she stays as is.

BEAUTIFUL color... I think thats what turned me off to mine. It was great the first year but it grew old. I never had any "trouble" per se out of mine either, I just thought it was OK.

Went with this then... like I said, I'd have kept this if I could.

I just lowered mine last weekend on the stock bolts...super easy (although I did cut the rear bushings).

it depends on who you ask honestly. its a downgrade in that it is 10 years old with older bells and whistles but thats it. as far as performance goes there's no comparison. i had a 1ss so i didnt have leather seats like i do now, i now have a HUD memory seating, dual zone A/C, Bose stereo system. i can also say it doesnt rattle, the build quality is actually better than the 4th gen camaros believe it or not, very solid

Looks too dated, you can get a used C6 Z06 for around the price of a loaded SS. Thats the only one I would trade for.

I want this

those c6z's are no joke. i would love to get one too but A) can't afford anything in the upper $30K-$40k range and b) my insurance would be through the roof with me being 23 years old. im paying $180 more every 6 months on a car that is 8 years older than my 5th gen.
