Mpg's

Alright for all you modded LLT guys. I'm in a 5th gen group on Facebook. The other day people were posting that they were getting 30+ mpg. I haven't seen that since I first got my car. I am now getting 18 and I don't drive my car hard at all.
Mods:
Injen long ram intake
Both intake manifold spacers
BBK long tubes with cats
Magnaflow res x pipe
Mrt 1

What are y'all getting with similar mods. I may demod my car to get them back. This sucks. There is cammed v8s getting better than this

Did you use the computer readout or fill it/drive it/fill it and crunch numbers to check? Mods can throw off MPG readouts on the computer, right?

Spacers might be throwing it off?

The DIC and actually doing the math out right is always close with each other.

I guess taking them off is a start. I think it's the headers though.

It runs super rich as all of these do but I feel if I had a good tune it would help out a lot.

You need a good tune, yes. Wheels make a difference, too.

We don't have the mods, but if your out on a flat road doing 60 mph and reset the mpg you should see 30 mpg without stopping. To avg 30 mpg isn't realistic. We live in rural La. and see a few stop signs and usually one traffic light and avg 23-24 mpg.

City and highway miles are a big difference, reset it drive 65 on the highway and you'll have 30+ too.

Ruby is getting 24.2 according to the DIC. I have not thought about it for a long time & so it has not been reset for a long time. So this includes all kinds of driving; highway, urban, interstate, long country cruises, very spirited driving, drag racing, you name it. Ruby's current mods are CAI intake with Apex washer bottle relocation kit & scoop, Black Iceolator, Borla exhaust, ported throttle body, so not that different from you. Your MPG does not sound right to me but I have no idea what would cause that. It does seem like there is a wide variation in the MPG's folks get. How often do you reset your DIC (No DIC jokes either guys).

DSX true, I am running 275 on all 4 corners, which is a little over 1" wider than what came from the factory 245s

I'll try the 60-65mph thing and see what it reads

These are always my favorite threads. Check my signature for all my mods.

Here are some of my MPG's numbers.

I reset everything at every fill up and have every fill up recorded too.
