Heavier Car?

I wish I knew and I wish GM would properly correct now as opposed to 2011!
I'm just joking around

Heavier... good thought, maybe.

i saw this the day before i picked my camaro up, and was like LOL damn that sucks!!! i had only read the first page but i needed not read on. after all my camaro was built 4 months later!! im good!!! but then the very next day i was up on a lift beginning to put springs in and what do you know... FML i have even more weight than posted on 1st page, but mines painted cause its the refined, later version of the camaro.

my 09 cobalt w/ brembos i traded for this thing had no squeek, and no wieghts or brackets or any vibration dampner..... why skip out on the expensive car??

Nice, glad you got the refined pile of Cr@p on your latest version!

Engineering probably came up with the paint idea to camo them better.

Its fine they had to come up with a fix to a problem...but wheel weights installed from the factory is just plain poor.....GM has quite a way to go to get things right. Its not like this is a Camary, did they think car guys were not going to see this...I think thats part of the problem, there not thinking.

I am starting to get some squeak out of my rear brakes from time to time.
I might try to put some weights on the rear calipers and see if it fixes it.

Sir please do not attempt this very precise and professional method, they went through heavy research and different types of double stick tape, DO not attempt this, it's better left to the most accurate of professionals!

+1

Wheel weights attached to brake caliper incorrectly could cause nuclear implosion of the hyper drive diaphram, death, mayhem, slivers, and even papercuts if done wrong.

Please leave it to the professionals at GM as to how to properly peel and STICK-IT!

Heres the solution they used on the Subarus that had noisy rear brakes with brembos. It was sandwiched to the caliper with the caliper bolts. Im sure this is what Brembo,,, not GM will use to fix it permanently. Dont blame GM,,, Brembo is the supplier for the brakes its their responsibility.

umm yeah....vin 38,900 annnnnd...drum-roll, weights are there. So many in fact, there must be some kinda Jenny Craig party going on under there at least its a quiet party tho, unlike my neighbors

Wanna paint em, buuut.....don't want to either do it again IF there is a fix, or be touching them up, as my Brembos go on a speed diet and they fall off....

Question 1: Would ya take it to the dealership, or to Joe Bobs greasy garage, cause your in a hurry, (and don't wanna wait on back and forth phone calls, when the answer is gonna be "Aww, just stick some more on there" anyway) and tell em, "Hey Joe, can ya just throw some weights on my CALIPERS? Here's a finsky" I mean, really?

Question 2: Do we need a sign that asks vehicles to stay back at least 500 ft. for debris coming from the car, like a dump truck? And, I just KNOW some forum members will get creative, and figure out how to incorporate this into a special "badge set" somehow..... Yeah, check this out: 2010/LS3/6.3L/2SS/RS/CAMARO/WW3.5pnds

Question 3: If you can find a car, that somehow manages to keep up with you while your racing around, and your weights come off and spiral towards them like "GM designed lead bullets O' death" do you stop and wait 10 min. for them to catch up to give them your insurance info?? Or do you just keep it moving?

Awaiting all responses to my special brand of sarcasm

Now if they would actually worked ~ we'd have it made. My right front still squeaks.

Ok, you can thank me now.

Finally broke down and painted my calipers after waiting 6 weeks for some solution from GM on the wheels weights on the calipers.

Now that I did it, I am sure they will have a correct fix within the next two weeks!
