Salt Water Fishing.....
So, I did a search and didn't find a fishing thread. With that being said, if you went salt water fishing. Post what you caught, or keep the thread going with good, funny, interesting information on salt water fishing.
Went out last Sunday in the drizzling rain and overcast. The wife and I did a small tournament with friends. It was slow moving, but we had a lot of fun. Caught (2) speckled trout weighing 3lbs. together, (1) 35" Black Drum that was released, and (1) 44" Black Tip Shark that was also released. Since we were the only ones who caught specks that day, we got 3rd place Since we are experiencing good weather this weekend, we may try another fishing hole. Good luck everyone!

This is some older pictures from 2014. Both of our personal best: Wife 42-1/2" @ 25lbs. Red Drum (Redfish) / My 40-1/2" @ 23.8lbs. Red Drum (Redfish). We caught these beyond the breakers right before Fall.
Had to make a correction... been so long I forgot the weights and measurements!

Nice! I used to do a lot of surf and pier fishing when I lived in Pensacola... Sand Trout, Redfish, Mullet, Drum, and Spanish Mackerel were just fun.
When I lived in Hawaii, Mahimahi was the shit! Also did a lot of crabbing. I never caught anything but Toledo Rock Bass when I would go down to Galveston, Texas City Spillway, or over to Boliver Pass/Fort Travis... cast, snag, cut line.

What's a Toledo Rock Bass? I know there are terms out there for certain fish, but I haven't heard that one until now. I just learned the term 'reef donkey'... I love using it now!

Some of my saltwater catches. Mostly of one kind lol
One from a bay trip last fall Caught this one and a bunch of others after one of the huge nor'easters we got in MD. Super rough water and a ton of wind but they were there And the monster! My brother though is a bit more into chasing the big ones: Those two are from the lower Potomac when the stripers school up to spawn in the early spring. This one is from New Jersey: I gotta try and find some pictures of the blue fish he has caught as they are monsters as well.

Holy Hell! That is some HUGE stripers! I guess they are your equivalence of our redfish???
Btw, that super spook is way bigger than that little sucker! I guess it was thinking, "Either go big, or go home Timmy!".... LMAO!
