Extended top down time

Good day all. Is it OK to leave the top down for an extended period of time? This is my first vert and not my daily driver. I tend to leave the top down and park in the garage during the non winter months. The top did go up during winter storage to stretch out the top and keep the pests out. TIA!

I pretty much leave my top down all season and only put it up if I get caught out in the rain. Then I put it up for winter storage. Zero problems.

I also did the same thing with my 67 vert that I owned for 32 years.
