took me 1 hour to install, easiest way is to remove the rear bumper, makes those trim rings a piece of cake to remove, and more room to play with the wiring. rear bumper took 3 minutes to remove, some screws below and snaps on the side. It almost impossible to get to the tabs on the bottom of the trim rings while the bumper is still on.

i too had a hard time getting the factory lights out..although i had access to limited tools at my gf's. i swapped out my 1SS tails for the RS lights and then today went back and took the bezels off again and replaced them with black ones... and you guys got off easy..you only dropped a nut, i dropped my iphone down in there.

OK - The trim rings are not that hard, you don't need to be overly concerned about the tabs. Get a trim tool or a skinny but wide flat blade screw driver and cover the end with thick paper towel. Press down and out one top tab while inserting your flat tool into the small gap on the lens side. Once it is in, slowly work it around the lens with a slight prying motion when you get to the next tab. Once you have three tabs out (2 top, 1 side) replace the paper towel with a microfiber cloth and get the other top corner going and down the side, most times the bottom will all come out in one small twist / pry once the top and both sides are loose.

I can now do my own in 5 minutes tops (have a few times to manipulate my static cling 35% tail light tint) and new cars in 10-15. The first time you remove them, they are a little tighter, but you just have to have patience with the first two tabs and be willing to insert a (covered) tool on the lens.

jtfire006, I know how you feel. I baught a kit for a mod I did.....and it said right on the website, "TYPICAL INSTALL TIME" was 2-3 hrs........after 2 1/2 DAYS!!! not HOURS.....DAYS, I was done.....granted it was 100% correct and looked factory when I was done....but GEEEEEEEEEEEZ the install time estimate was just a LITTLE off!!! lol

Just go to the Technostagia site, call Todd, great to work with and excellent costmer service. There is a week or two lead time but they are woth the wait. By the way for a 5 hour install there had to be a few beer breaks in there!

Here are mine; easier to see on video in the daylight, doesn't wash out so much.
