I'm just curious what dealer you bought it from? I'm in Bergen county and bought mine from Hawthorne Chevy... they don't install brackets on any of their cars until owners ask I believe.

Any body shop can fix that. I'd request the dealer do it.

I don't think you can fix that.. At least 2 body shops told me that these bumpers couldn't be repaired due to the material. Besides, if money is going to be spent, it only makes sense to replace the bumper.

New Jersey? Why are they going to pay to fix your bumper in a state where you are legally required to run a front plate?

It sucks, but it looks like you are out of luck, buddy.

I just would add another license plate to cover those holes.
Otherwise you might want to consider putting a sticker over it??
I am sure you can fill the holes with caulking prior of putting the stickers!

I bought it from Gearhart Chevrolet up in Denville. I'm from Oakland, but I saw this one up there so the 20 minute ride was worth it. Im the second owner, so I'm assuming the first owner, who I was told was an older man, wanted the plate on. Great people at the dealership regardless of this issue.

Yah I understand what your saying. But an unsatisfied customer can do alot of damage to any business. For most companies it just makes more sense to fix the problem and hope the customer will bring you back more business to offset that cost of fixing the problem. Then to cut your ties with the customer all together and lose out on that potential earning. I understand what your saying though.

All I know is that he told me it was held on by 3m tape, not drilled through 8 times to only have 4 screws that dont belong there put in. It must be brought up IMO. I'm not trying to be an ass, just trying to see what can happen. If nothing, then so be it, it is what it is. No harm in trying though.

Considering he told you it was held on by 3M tape, I would take it back and make them do something about it. I feel for ya man. I would be so pissed
