Occasionally when Facebook screws up, it prompts my browser to download the php file, rather than display it.

Have you tried to uninstall and re-install Google? I've never had that happen to me before.

Fac book has been having issues lately. If I get an unexpected result from the site, I just go away and try later.

I had porn sites pop up on facebook. I wanted to add the "price is right" app and it asked me to give permission to pretty much access my whole computer. I went to work and left my facebook up and the wife came home to find porn on my screen. I was in the dog house for 2 days.

Hello Another IE Vulnerability.

Try removing The Internet Explorer Addons:

In IE go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Programs -> Manage add-ons

Then under "Show" go through each selections and remove everything. Don't worry all your trusted sites will ask you again if you want to enable Active-X. Only do it for trusted sites and be careful with Facebook

Your file associations might be screwed too, if so what OS are you running? Vista? XP? W7?
