20x9.5 wheel on front going to be an issue?
Posted this in the tire section, but I'm not sure if it gets much traffic sooo
So I have decided to buy some of the OE Zl1 replicas, I have a V6 with the RS package. https://www.oewheelsllc.com/20-Fits-...Black-20x9-5-2 But they told me the 20x9.5 would rub on the fronts and I need spacers. So this has me all confused even though I have been reading on the web about this. So couple of questions; has anyone put 20x9.5 on their fronts and does it rub? if not any idea what size spacers would I need? and would I also have to put spacers on the back also? thanks for the help guys.

It all depends on offset, you can fit far more than 9.5" with the correct offset.

Hey brother, I got ZL1 replicas for my 2SS...20x10’s in the front....20x11’s in the back.
They fit great and look great. No rubbing at all. I would suspect that dropping the suspension may create rubbing issues, depending on your tires. My offsets are 23mm for the front and 43mm for the back. Note: I’m sure it’s obvious, but they are staggered. Last edited by SabotAndHeat; 04-23-2018 at 08:55 AM. |

Well I was wanting to do 275/40 20's all around but they said the fronts would rub. Im not lowered and I dont mind having to buy spacers if needed, just not sure what sizes I need to buy and if I only have to get spacers for the front.

I am running 20x9.5 +35 offset with 275s in the front
20x11 +40 offset with 305s in the rear. I am lowered with Hotchkis 1.5" drop springs. Not one time have I ever had a rub.

if you are not lowered, you should not have any issue with 275/40's. I am lowered and considering 275/40's for the front, but with my HPDE, there is a concern of rubbing and may need to drop to a 285/35 tire instead.
