Edit: I fail at quoting multiple people. ; ;

Did you use a high pressure washer on the engine?

i am interested to know what the solution to your problem is.when you wash a car,there isn't enough water that gets into the engine that should hurt anything.

i guess we'll just have to wait and see what the dealer says.

obviously having washed the car can not be held as a cause for an engine malfunction..

PS. are people seriously having trouble reading the original post? looks completely understandable to me and i don't see what the problem is.

I think that he is saying that he washed the engine, someone asked him in an earlier post but he hasn't responded to that yet.

OP, did you wash your engine itself?

No just a hose with no sprayer and i think thats what did it. But i've never heard of low engine power and that's what was coming on, and the stability control and check engine light.

I'm kind of curious which dealership you bought the car from...I wonder if they are still just as inept up there in the Capital District these days as they were 10 years ago when I lived in that area...from the sounds of this post, it is a resounding YES. If the check engine light came on (MIL - malfunction indication lamp?) then it threw a code (DTC - diagnostic trouble code). Ask them what code they read when they plugged the computer into the car. You don't just get a check engine light (especially if the car is only 3days old - congrats on the car, BTW), and then they say "checks out ok on the computer...". Find out what code they read, and don't let them tell you they didn't get a code.

i'm sure this will turn out to be a stupid (unrelated to the washing) problem. my son has had his lt2 rs for a week and i've washed it 5 times myself (black car) with no problems.....lol

+1

When check engine light is on, they will be able to get something. They are jerking your chain.
