I've also tried going through the software using Manage my XXL
MIKE.....Since I would need to see what you are looking at with you Tom Tom hooked up to your computer, your menu's may look a bit different, but the Tom Tom HOME software is the same for all models.....do you have the software loaded on a laptop or a desktop? if you got it on a laptop.....and you bring them both to the Woodlands next Sunday.....we will go through it and get you going.

I'm posting this from another section that I think is relevant. Does anyone have different colors of the Camaro for the Garmin? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for this bump. Read through all the posts and was wondering what's the latest on a good dash mount. That universal one did look good and placed just right in front of the AC/Heat vent, but you (Sir Nuke) didn't didn't like it?? Anyone else have any luck with one not on top of the dash or attached to the window?? I have a TomTom XXL 550M.

The VENT mount is too flimsy......ESPECIALLY since yours is one of the BIG (5") models. I want to be able to see my GPS without having to truely take my eyes off the road....with that in mind....for me....the only good place to mount them is either on the windshild, or get one of the bean-bag mounts.

I mount mine next to the A-piller so its bearly above the dash. Considering that is Texas, I can't see out the windshild there for there are two stickers there, the registration and the safety inspection.....of course I have a hard wire kit installed so I don't have a cord hanging across the dash either.

Thanks for the feedback. I found the vent one on line and Amazon had it for a little over $8., so I figured why not give it a try. I read somewhere that this was a newer/improved version. Was yours # TTEP129-ST-RVC??
