I let a friend drive it yesterday so I could hear it start and hear it drive by. I really liked it. Quite a bit more than stock but not obnoxious. I won't be sneaking up on anyone but they won't be calling the cops either.

Sometimes I just want to edit people's posts just to edit their posts....lol.

D@mn, it's tough being the good guy!

That stock set up doesn't look bad....but that H-pipe?....well...it's obvious the new set up will flow a bit better than this one. Now...out of curiosity....do you think stainless is ready to ship my factory exhaust back?

...I mean....it IS still mine, right?

Can you weigh the stock exhaust system? I'd sure like to know what that weighs if you get the chance.

LOL. You don't ask for much Doc. I'll see what I can do. Tag just strap it to the roof of your car. It will create downforce and we can put you on the ricer page. Looks like it would be easy for them to cut it at existing welds and fit it right into a box or two. Just have them scribe it first for alignment in case you ever need it put back. I told the wife I'm going to decorate the gameroom in early 5th gen parts and make it manland.

It sounds better stock than what THR did.. At least from what I can hear in the low sound quality clip all things being equal. Did you want to make it more quiet at idle and louder when you hit the gas??

Sitting in traffic yesterday and a guy in an Infiniti starts honking at me. I roll down the window and he says "Beautiful car is that the stock exhaust? I love the sound of it its so cool." So I guess not everyone thinks it sounds like shit. LOL

Not everyone wants to hears you coming 3 blocks away. My days of loud pipes ended with my Harley's going away. Could use slight low grumble upgrade but I get lots on compliments on the stock exhaust. It's like the radio up grade. How much more do you want it to be. I really haven't cranked it out yet...I like the sound of the car more!

Sorry, I'm not digging it as well. Just my opinion.
I'm more of a fan of the Stainless Works exhaust.
Enjoy your car.

Well the stock system isn't all one single piece is it? I was interested in how much a stock muffler, stock cats and one side exhaust manifold weighs. I can multiply that times 2 to get the total weight. I'm trying to estimate the weight savings going from stock to something like the ARH header system with their cats and possibly a Loudmouth2 muffler.

Since some of you have already replaced your setups and the stock system is out and loose, I was just asking (if it's not a hassle) to weigh a few pieces if possible. A simple way to do that is take a bathroom scale and weigh yourself; then pick up one of the pieces and stand on the scale again; note the new weight and subtract your weight.

If the whole system is welded together as one gigantic piece well it may be too heavy to lift then, but that in itself tells me something.
