May do the unthinkable

I'm thinking of trading my daily driver F150 and my '15 1LE for a Rubicon Wrangler Unlimited.

I have a 4 year old daughter and live in Pittsburgh. My 1LE gets next to no use and is liened. I also have the truck which is liened. I'm considering trading them both and getting a new JL Unlimited rubicon. That way, I'd have something to mod and play with and have a single payment and daily.

It also leaves me room to have a new toy, which may be a fourth gen SS and build it, or something substantially older. I just finished a 69 chevelle and now I have the itch to build something older again and need the garage space.

Any Wrangler owners? Don't flame me too bad!

If you are trading both for one at the same dealer, you won't need a colonoscopy for the rest of your life.

Here's my 2014. We love it but for long road trips it's not too comfortable. They hold their value well but you can still save a lot by buying used.

Thanks! Yeah, I'd find alternate transport for long trips.

The JK and new JL Rubicon’s some of the hottest vehicles going - especially if you want to mod them. You can easily double what you spend for one.

Eh, I've found that buying new with Wranglers is the way to go. They barely depreciate until a couple of years, so the new ones are barely more expensive than used.

It also depends on the dealer. I had fantastic luck with Videon in PA. They routinely sell Wranglers for prices dealers in NJ wouldn't touch.

That's what I'm seeing too.

If i can get past the emotional attachment of the camaro (it's my second 5th gen), I can easily make the switch.

I didn't even realize you live in PA. Dealers in PA have been great to me. Videon would be a trek for you, but check in with them. They are a great dealer and I couldn't have been happier how they treated me.

They quoted me a specific price on my trade and stood by it when they saw the trade (was sight unseen).

Much as I'd like to ride out that far, taking two cars to Newtown might be a chore!
