Hard top convertible

I really wish Chevrolet would produce hard top convertibles. If the roof wasn’t that canvas/twill and if it matched the body color, I think it would sell like hot cakes! Thoughts? Would you buy a convertible if it were a hardtop, and cost 4K more, since it uses better material?

Probably not. I have had multiple convertibles and I am perfectly fine with a soft top

I’m personally in love with the look of the top down, but I think the canvas just kills it... plus the wind noise is insane !

I actually like the black top with the Summit White body. It is a little loud but not a deal breaker.

I'd do. As long as it keeps the same body lines hard the non vert.

And if I had the money too haha.

Hard top covertibles while being more secure are notorious for rattles squeaks and creeks. Read reviews on any past VW Eos, Chrysler 200, or GM's own Pontiac G6 hardtop convertibles for proof. And after that G6 experiment I would be shocked if GM ever made another attempt.

Hahah same! Hard to justify paying 4K for a vert when you could get a cam for that price lol!

Maybe I am use to wind noise. It is a sports car so I don't care about noises. Mine is black so the soft top being black is perfect lol. Top down driving makes all those little issues not an issue to me.

Hmmmm the only hardtop vert I’ve been in is a BMW, and there weren’t any rattles... didn’t know GM had that issue...

Oh yes... ask a previous owner of one of these animals. I bought a brand new Mazda Miata Grand Touring PRHT in 2008 and 3K miles later I had to sell it. It just creaked squeaked and rattled to the point I couldn't take it. And in cold winter weather OMG... absolutely unbearable creaks and rattles! Many of these hardtop designs are and were engineered by Karman which is their specialty. It seems these annoying noises just go with the territory.

The wind noise with the Top up is NOT an issue, I find it only SLIGHTLY noisier than the Coupe, And then, Put the top down and ENJOY the FRESH AIR. Hard top verts are COOL but coming with that comes a LARGE weight gain and a Price tag!!!!! My last TOY was a M-B SL-600 Great Car when New, V12,Twin Turbo,VERY FAST!!!!! and a Hard top Vert, But 145K and a 25% depreciation in the FIRST YEAR was a Deal breaker!!!!! So, Bottom line, No, I would not buy a Hardtop Camaro Vert.

i'm suprised people with convertibles don't get the tops cut up at least once a month.
