Worst 5th gen paint conditon

I don't know what the previous owner was doing with this car, observe.

The entire car is like this, with 2-4 "keys" and 2 bad touch-ups, some reach the primer, 1-2 reach scratches reaching the metal, and these little scratches everywhere, easily over 500 scratches.

Saving up for an exhaust and a good repaint would cost too much. afraid a good detaier won't do much. We'll see what happens.

(There's always wrapping the car in vinyl, lol)

Some people see their vehicle as just that 'a vehicle'. Regardless of money spent.
Don't bother with a dealer on the paint. Go to a good detailer, be prepared to spend a couple hundred bucks, but you will have a like new finish once they are done.
From what you have shown in the pic, ALL that can be fixed. Good luck.

If scratches are down to metal, they need repainted. And there's no detailer in the world that would touch that job for "a couple hundred bucks"

I was referring to the pic the op posted. As for scratches down to the metal, you are correct, that could cost hundreds alone.

They might touch it for a couple hundred but they aren't going to do much!

I was gonna say the same thing... or they're a "Detailer" (note the size of the quotation marks) and will make it worse... we all know the type.

Maybe the neighborhood cats were using it as a scratching post

Good grief, that's atrocious.

There's detailers skilled enough to do seamless touchups on key marks, usually involving filling the key mark with touchup, wetsanding, and polishing. I've seen it done, but it's a genuine skill.

As for the paint condition, a repaint is a last resort and I honestly think is unnecessary. A genuine detail will bring it to showroom condition... but you'd want a reputable detailer for that, and a job of that caliber is at LEAST $700.00.
