Sub Box Shifting

Ive been eyeballing the weathertech trunk mats to keep the sub box from shifting on this slick stock carpet. Anybody had any experience with the mats?

Wow, that’s a big sub box. Ever thought about getting a sub*thump
box for the side of the trunk? Where do you put the groceries?

I had this box built to specs of the sub for sound quality. Although I did get the sub thump harness until I upgrade the receiver. Groceries? Thats to haul in the significant other's Trailblazer

That’s about as ghetto as you can get for a stereo install. Get some Velcro, affix it to the bottom of the box and call it a day. The weight of that anchor along with the Velcro will keep it from moving. Only use the “rough” side of Tj vbut Velcro, not both sides

Some wires need to be cleaned up and a battery hold down put in, but that is coming after I figure out what to do about this sliding issue. The wires were left intentionally longer so I could move the box to the back seat while I install whatever I decide. So never mind the mess, I just need a non slip surface so this Wal-Mart carpet has to go. Make sense?

You could trace the trunk with 1/2” mdf under the carpet and screw a couple L-brackets to the backside of the box, where no one can see them.

Thank you for posting this and for good ideas. I have 2 - 10s I’m the side holes and they are always falling over and sliding around. Drives me nuts
