Rear coilover denting trunk HELP

Has anybody seen this issue. I looked in my trunk to and notice that above both coilovers there have been repeated dents/bulges. Was running Pedders switch a little while back to KW V3.

Not sure it would have had to happen to both sides. Think I still have my old Pedders I will have to pull them out and look

I think when I had my pedders installed shop most have done this for clearence for some reason. Don't understand why. This is why I try to do most of my own work. Shouldn't have been lazy.
