ZL1 AUX Trans Cooler

Anyone here that has 13-15 M6 ZL1. Can you take a picture of the front lower radiator? Looking to see if the M6 cars have the aux trans cooler. GM says its only the auto cars that have the aux trans cooler.

I didn't forget about ya!

I looked in my 2014 Camaro service manual, here are some pics that show the aux cooler.
This pic shows the actual cooler. The service manual doesn't say if it is used with either trans.

The next two pics show the the service manual calling out the LSA Camaro (ZL1) trans cooler lines. Notice they only go into the radiator which is similar to the Z/28 and SS.

This picture shows something I found while researching the ZL1 Aux cooler myself a few months ago. It shows the 6 speed trans with an obvious aux transmission fluid cooler.

So with all that info above, I cannot say for sure that only the auto ZL1 comes with an aux cooler that is mounted in front of the radiator. I guess you still need to lay eyes on a ZL1 with the 6 speed manual.

Yes, they do.

I have just replaced my clutch and don't have any good photos, but I used glove finger tips and rubber bands to reduce the mess, as in this other member's post https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=400884

I think I can solve your question. The lines and cooler you are seeing goes to the rear axle to cool the fluid in it, not your transmission. All ZL1's have this and the transmission being a auto or a stick it does not matter. GM did this because the ZL1 really was designed for track use and the rear axle fluid was getting hot

That is not correct.. the M6 does have the same coolant pass through and the line continues to the rear end then returns to the front cooler.

I know it cools the rear diff, I have a ZL1 rear diff in my car and looking to complete the cooling lines. I was more interested in part numbers for the coolers or lines that go from the radiator to the AUX cooler.

You just said it a different way but it still cools the rear axle fluid.

The original question was does the ZL1 M6 have a trans cooler and the answer is yes.
