Trying to buy 1le,need advice.

I am having trouble finding a '14 ss 1le. The only new 1le near me is a '15, so it has none of the rebates for the Labor Day sale.

Here is the car: 1le package, recaros, dual mode exhaust, rear vision, boston acoustic. Msrp is 41,730. Dealer has come to 39,660 and allowed me to leave. Is like 38,660. The price they gave me is base on the credit union discount. I am also eligible for the graduate program and the educator discount.

They told me new incentives may come on Wednesday, but they don't know hat they are yet. Do they typically put incentives on cars this fast? What would you guys do?

I have never bought a new car before, so all this is foreign to me.

That's not a very good deal for a 2014. Tell them you want them to match GM supplier pricing. I built one on the GMfamilyfirst.com website. Came to $41730 for MSRP, and then $37710 with the discount including destination and including a $2000 rebate. The GM website lists all of the rebates and is up to date.

Your local dealer should be able to search all the Chevy inventory within a 300 or 500 mi radius.

My local dealer has drivers that pick up cars from other dealers and bring them to me. My 1LE came from a dealer that was about 4 hrs from here. Dealers do lot transfers all the time. It took a little longer because they internally negotiated and their driver had to take something from their inventory as part of the "deal".

Friend at work had a new Suburban delivered to his house. Signed all the paperwork on his dining room table. They left with his trade in.

If they are willing to work with you, they can find what you're looking for.

When I tried to buy a 14 locally, none of the local dealers could get the other dealers to give up their 1LEs. So, I had to drive 300 miles or pay for the 2015.

OP, any discount off MSRP you get on a 15 right now on a 1LE is gravy. Not saying you have to pay MSRP or anything. I know many are getting the dealers to come down. But, you just can't expect them to come down as much as they would on a 14. Rebates aside.

Oh, lol, that makes a big difference! There won't be nearly as many incentives to buy a 2015 over a leftover 2014.

I built a 2015 !LE with the options you listed. MSRP was $41880 and the supplier discount was $39854. There are no discounts offered, no rebates as well.

So I guess 38660 is a pretty good price then. I'll report back on Wednesday. They said they would call me when they heard about incentives.

There is never good incentives on Camaros unless it's the end of the model year.

Buy a 14, they are still out there you just have to go get it. I worked with a sales rep in another state over the phone for a week. Drove 4 hours to get it and he had me out the door in 2 hours. Painless, pretty much.

I don't think that the 15 has any changes to it from 14.
