This sucks

In the last 2 weeks we have been offered 3 Z/28, that shows me people don't hold on to cars, only one had me thinking, but its a 15 we only want 14 cars IMO, and they where both white, we have a white now and wanted red.

I was guilty of that myself. Over the past 5 years, I've owned 5, 5th gens. I finally found the keeper.

Most Americans are broke ... Dave Ramsey says it right. Look left and right in your neighborhood and you have people neck deep in debt because of impulsive decisions. Ok I’ll stop now.

Don't stop, it's the truth, if you can't buy with cash don't buy at all.

I can understand people though, I do have a great job but are still on a limited budget, material things are always replaceable, sometimes life doesn’t line up with everything and the first things to go are the toys.. however, people here in Northern Europe do go through alot of cars in general, and those that are babied by their owners are very rare.

in March/April 2018 when I was looking at '14/'15 Z/28's there was ~40 listed on Autotrader. There's ~20 listed now

Yes, it’s a rare gem these z28s with a 7 liter dry sump hand made engine, etc. My experience with these limited type cars, early adopters drop out during the first 4 years then supply becomes limited and demand and pricing increase. Might be seeing it now.

Why do you want a '14 but not a '15?

So you're talking from a collector standpoint? I'm curious as to the engine builders of them. Like who hand assembled the least amount of engines. That might be something to look into. Nobody seems to think that the builder matters, but I think it may have some pertinence.

Yes and no on the collector standpoint, like driving the Z/28 a lot, its more old school driving if you know what i mean, its that joy you feel of Bing in control of a monster that at any moment will turn on you, and get you in trouble.

And i like your way of thinking about how many engines where assembled by each engine builder.
