Also you will hear that you heat the harmonic balance on, I never did that and would never do that. I just got a long piece of all thread and tightened the bold on it to press the pulley on. I then put the old bolt in to torque it and then took it out and put an ARP one from texas speed as the GM one is torque to yield.

As stated. follow the last video and the forum post on LS3 and the only two additional parts is taking the heads off and replacing ALL the lifters some say just AFM lifters I say while your in there just fix them all and then the phaser limiter kit. Any of the installers, GPI or Texas speed can talk you through the tuning.

Lastly I seen some say something about changing the stock pump out, the L99 has more flow due to the AFM than the LS3 (no personal experience, just a lot of reading of forum posts so take it with a grain of salt). I believe there is a post saying the L99 has more flow than a melling pump so if you are changing the pump (I did not) I would just buy a stock L99. Do the research and ask questions though.
