Shifter knob removal??
How do i vet rid of the stock shifter knob to replace with pistol grip instead? Leather threads are hurting my palm of my hand. Want to remove and replace with a hurst pistol grip in its place. Is this possible? 2014 2ss m6 if that matters.

Not sure if the same but on a6 here is a tiny screw facing the radio.

You pull up on the collar of the shifter boot, and turn counter-clockwise.
Then you lower the shift boot, and there's a screw to take the shift-knob off
