[QUOTE=Darth_Emma;3682832]I know for sure that is not true of forced induction cars. I realize the OP is not talking about that, but I think it's important to point that out. A catch can is relatively inexpensive and is especially important for FI cars.

What's FI cars?

Forced Induction. Turbo/Supercharger.

You should start a build thread so you can update with photos as you cross stuff off the list. And...

The catch can is overrated for N/A cars. That's all there is to it. It's not as big a deal as some people make it seem. Odds are, you will notice no difference after 100k miles with or without it. That being said, should you buy one? Yes. Why? Because it's cheap and it couldn't hurt. But don't get pulled into thinking it's going to let you put several hundred thousand miles on your Camaro just by installing it. Regular maintenance and not thrashing the hell out of a car will give you a shot at hitting 300k.

If anyone can disprove this with evidence of a catastrophic engine failure that would have been prevented by the use of a catch can, please post with photos. If not, well, I guess you just proved my point. Thanks!

Found out why the car was not done, there was a crease on one of the stripes, they ordered another set and will replace it under warranty. Gotta give thumbs up to the dealer!!

Are you sure the CAI won't void the factory warranty? I thought it did and that's why I have yet to do it, plus it will bump me into the next class in autocross.

I think it depends, some dealers say this and some don't? So far mine is not installed, it gets installed when I get home (end of month) I don't think it will be a problem though.
