Stock Front Pads Chamfered?

So i just bought a set of front and rear stock Brembo pads.
There rears are Chamfered.
Fronts are NOT.
Ive seen some that were when i was looking to buy.
They are Brembo HP1000 #22907156 w 07.8715.67 printed on them.
Any reason to file/angle front/rear edges on the front pads?
Also what about putting a chanel down the middle/center?

I track the car 75% of the time.

New to track days with Camaro on the track. Still learning so not that big of deal.

Everything I've read says the rears are not chamfered. I just reinstalled my Brembo pads a few week ago. The fronts you install with the arrows facing up (forward rotation of rotors).

Well my rears ARE chamfered.
Fronts are NOT chamfered.

BUT

I have seen other fronts chamfered.

SO is there a year where they made some chamfered and others not?

Should i take a file to the fronts?

Ill see if i can upload some pics.

Nevermind I see your pictures now. Interesting that my rears are not chamfered as yours are. I have a 2015 1le.

Im wondering if i should chamfer the fronts myself.
ALL of the other front Brembo pads have them chamfered.
Take a file and 45* them?
What about a vertical channel?

You track the car 75% of time and you want to reduce the pad area on the front that does most of the braking? Dont do it, chamfers are there for brake squeal noise, if you dont have them be happy, the micky mouse ears are there instead to cancel noise.

I wont as that makes sense.
BUT
Why are some of the OEM Brembo front/rear pads chamfered and others not?
Any rhyme or reason?

I as wondering what those added round masses were for

I just ordered a set from Summit on Monday, received them today and they are chamfered. Their Brembo number is 07.8715.65 so the last digit is different the yours. The GM part number is identical though, 22907156. Looks like it's hit or miss with what you get but it appears 07.8715.61 is a square edge and 07.8715.65 is a tapered edge. Summit page I ordered from: Brembo Front Pads

I run a race pad for track days so these are my street and occasional autocross pad, although I did one weekend with them and they held up well.
