So is that pricing showing that you can get polished wheels with an SS rs for sure?

I have to say I'm not really happy about the pricing, but you guys were bang on when speculating. Hylton, I'm not sure what you mean when you say a 2SS under 40K in the summertime. Are you referring to the ability to bargain once the initial orders have rolled off the line and Camaro's start showing up, in bulk, on the lots?

Thanks

but don't you have to submit customers' orders before then? Btw, that is a nice price for RS package for SS models.
at this point no canadian dealer can submit orders to the plants. all we are able to do is solidify our allotted orders with customer sales. my guess is we won't see order submission until december if not early january.

then expect to see the first camaros in canada in late spring early summer.

Yes I am but the SS model will be very tough to find on the dealership lots.

Well that makes it over 40K (taxes included)for the v6 i wanted ,so ill just wait, they are not going to sell around here at that price especially since you can get a V6 mustang convertible for less that 30k all taxes included.

Are you saying come Dec. or Jan. , Cdn orders will be submitted and we will be at the back of the line behind the US orders in terms of ordering sequence?

Canadian orders have always trailed behind the US orders no matter what model it is (much like the pricing!!). the main reason is pure numbers...the canadian market is smaller than that of most states (california, texas, florida, etc) down south so it unfortunately means we canadians have to wait.

but like i said before, we've always expected the camaro to arrive in the summer of '09 (it's not the summer of '69, but someone has to make a song out of that and driving the all new camaro!!)

Just to be clear, all 7,800 or so current orders on hand will only be accepted by the factory in December/January timeframe.

Car is $28,900 plus 13% tax but almost 100hp less than the V6 Camaro!

im looking at american pricing for the accessories, converting it to CDN dollars and adding some money to it to decide what the cost of canadian accessories will be. My 2SS, with taxes and accessories, shipment price, costs about 56K. ouch. I will be paying over 900 bucks a month easy with my 6000 down payment.
