DWS 09 is a good winter tire since they're soft and warm up fatseter than the P Zero's.

But they suck in cornering. Very sloppy feel to them.

They get better as they wear down, though.

Worst thing about them, I wore the backs out and had like 60% tread on the fronts. Put new DWS 09 rear tires on and didn't replace the fronts.

The rear tires were so much softer than the fronts, it kept setting off my stability control and applying the brakes in the corners during normal driving.

I ordered 2 new fronts so they could wear together and no more problems.

So get ready for it if you wear the rear tires out that quickly.

Thanks for the heads up! So far I like them and almost prefer the "soft" feel to them. I DD and regularly make road trips around the Midwest.

As many know, I have been in the process of 'blacking out' the rear of my car and today I finished it off by tinting the taillights, as suggested by a few people here. Originally, I ordered some cheap pre-cut tint off eBay; but it was crap, cut smaller then the tail lights and, no matter what I did, you could see red around the edges. So, I decided to order some smoke colored tint and do it right. Took my time and they turned out almost perfect, they looked like smoked lenses, you can't even tell it's tint .. now I have to wait 48hrs before I can wash & detail it, which it really needs right now.

Not today, but on Friday went on a nice road trip to Norcal... Salinas to be exact... for business.

Left at 1am, cruising through LA, up the grapevine, through part of the valley. Crossed over to the 101 through Paso Robles, then about a hundred miles to Salinas. Arrived at around 6am cruising all the way...

The route back was less fun, with traffic and all... still, made it home back by 4pm the same day.

The car performed flawlessly... these cars really love to be driven...

I like to look at my camaro 2010 and admire all the others. I still like to shift ( my legs are a little stiff ). Occasionally, I try to take off without wheel spin (safety always). As always I respect other people and the streets. No mods - just still grinning.

Not today but within the last 2 weeks I changed the oil/filter, coolant flush , spark plugs, MSD 8.5 mm wires, both belts. That was to base line the car as I bought it with 32K miles a month ago. Prior owner had passed away and his family had no recent records.

I also installed a Rotofab CAI and an OEM strut brace.

I hear ya. Took mine out of the garage Saturday evening thinking all the lights flashing in the sky were just for show and that the rain was at least a half hour away, or more.

Got to the e85 gas pump and it started pouring. My rear tires have just enough tread to get a DOT rating and they were not designed for driving in rain. It was a scary ride home!! Lesson learned...
