Yeah my dealer threw mine out as well. When I asked for them the service writer just shrugged his shoulders and said I dont know where they are the PDI guy must have thrown them out. He said he looked for them but couldnt find it. He didnt even know that there were such things as spring spacers on the car for transport. I told him that it should be on the PDI instructions for delivery. He said how do I know that. Told him I read it off the forum from the internet. His response, "I shouldnt believe everything I read on the internet." I looked at him, already pissed about drilling on my front license plate bracket after I told them not to, and said "REALLY!!!" He didnt say a word after that and I didnt know they could order me a set. I am going to ask now. Thanks for the info guys.

Listen everybody, my goal wasn't to stir the pot here. I was sharing my experience. I know what the dealer should have done but didn't. Anyone can make mistakes, it's how you respond that defines you. In my situation, I wasn't rude to the dealer. I explained that the spacer came with the car and that I need them in case the car is ever towed. The simple response would have been "we'll make it right and send you a set of spacers". Whether they found a set at the dealer or bought a set really doesn't matter.
I got an incredible deal on the car, so it isn't about the price. I can pay for a set of spacers. I hope that most people have better experiences. Thanks to Spookygunner for the P/N for the spacer kit! I'll put this behind me and enjoy my awesome beast!

I can only assume that this customers first attempt to correct the problem after it was discovered, was polite and curtious, but when that was refused he shouldn't have to just roll over and accept that, they are not asking for anything more than what they were supposed to have recieved in the first place. When I purchase anything, whether it be a Camaro or a loaf of bread I'm there to be your customer, not to be your friend. I don't understand why you don't get that, especially over something so small, it's not like they were asking for a new Camaro.

I specifically requested my spring spacers because I wasn't sure if my dealer knew to include them or not. I threw them in the trunk with the battery so they don't take up room in my glove box.

I read up on here to check in the glove compartment before I picked up my car which was on the showroom floor. I checked the glove compartment and there they were. The OP should have never taken no for an answer it's part of what you paid for I'm not ordering any replacement. They owe him a set and they know it. They are just trying to save a nickel anywhere they can.

Nub here, anybody know the part number for the spring spacers I didn't get with the car. I went to the dealership and DEMANDED the spacers but they said I should ask the previous owner. I tracked him down and he said...................well you get the idea....

I have #22761331.
You realize spacers are used for transport only? They are otherwise not used. |

Yes. I bought this car on a whim so I came here to learn. The 5 yr. old thread was new to me. Post 25 was obviously a failed attempt at humor, too lazy to search and too much information. At least I thought it was funny.
