This is great, but we need to differentiate between the 5th gen and the 6th gen, until all the 5th gens are gone.

Wow! Mustang rules the earth. Is there any other american vehicle model, other than trucks, that have more sales from 1964 til now?

I'm not entirely sure that that info would be all that easily figured out.

Manufacturers will provide breakdowns by model year, but they'll be released next month or the end of the first quarter.
The numbers that I posted in my market share thread are all based on model years.

The Impala trumps it since '64, but not a sporty car like the Mustang. The longevity of the Mustang nameplate is impressive. Almost as impressive as the Chevrolet Corvette

A different Chevrolet would like to have a word with you regarding longevity...

forgot about that one. Makes sense. They were much more main stream.

Hmmmm... Why do military guys like Mustangs so much? I noticed that myself. One of my new neighbors (Coast Guard I think) just got one of these:

I was walking my dog, and actually stopped to check it out in his driveway. Looked pretty cool. Seems like smoother lines from previous years. I think his wife drives it primarily.

Used to be that officers were into Vettes. Not sure if that stills holds water.
