To me the Scat Pack is the only Challenger trim that makes any sense to buy. Everything below it is underpowered(due to the weight of the platform) and the Hellcat is in the same price range as a Corvette.

The T/A is a good middle ground too.

The T/A comes in 5.7 and 6.4 flavors surprisingly. The Scat Packs are the way to go if going for a stripped down one. The packaging on the T/A 6.4 if I remember is better if you want to get some of the must have options. Dodge's whole scheme is a bit confusing but gives a lot of choices.

I also feel the 5.7 is a pretty lame duck. Plenty of bark, no bite. 6.4 seems like the ideal setup.

Personally, I think the Challenger is ugly. The worst car I ever bought new was a Grand Cherokee. It fell apart at exactly 36 months. If someone gave me any FCA vehicle I would take it to Car Max to convert to cash.

My local dealership got a new 2017 TA 392 in Octane Red Pearlcoat. Frankly, it's one of the best looking Challengers I've ever seen. A real beauty of a car.

That said, it has a $48,000 sticker on it, which is kinda crazy considering the TA package is mainly an appearance package.

I'd say the decline in Mustang sales is in waiting for the '18 model. It's actually better looking in person than the previous year(s). Saw it @ the Autoshow, and I would buy one.
Nonetheless, it's good news for the Camaro(for now).

These Challenger sales don't explain the abundance of Challenger Scat/SRT models all over the roads in Michigan. That and the Charger Scat models too. Chaldeans are keeping the Challenger alive, lmao.

Lol! My Chaldean homies in Shelby Township love the power and look of their SRT models.

There someone in my neighborhood with a HellCat. Usually see him in the morning going to work. Every time I see him is just cruising along. I was behind him this morning and could tell its an automatic. Sounded good though.
