Out league does two halves and the winner of each half rolls off at the end. We won both halves last year. So no roll off necessary. |

I shot 203 - 244 - 235 - 243 - 231 - 238 for a 6 game avg. of 232. By far one of the better days for me. I was playing 5 boards left of normal with my feet and aiming at the 12/13 board swinging it out somewhat. The lanes were not oiled today yet. They were oiling them as we finished up. I was moving a half board left almost every game.[/QUOTE] Not a bad day! I'd take that consistency right now. 256, 165, 245. The 165 is probably the worst game I've actually thrown in a long time. Everyone's average in the house is down 5-10 pins this year as there as been a huge amount of transition in the 2nd game. I found out this week that the house changed oils this year. Can't remember what the new stuff is, but it dries up on the outside in a hurry and makes it mega wet/dry. NOT GOOD for crankers like me. I threw my blue Hammer 2001 this week as it tames the lanes down a bit. Pretty much still have to throw it about a mile an hour faster with less hand and straighter through the heads to make it work. Way too much work for league. lol |

666 must be the magic number for the night. I would have taken your path rather than mine with the buck-sixty

Nice game glad to hear it is starting to work for you. You loosed up with the beer. It works for golf to. Otherwise your to stiff and try to hard, placing every shot instead of just letting it swing. Just keep in mind thou there is a point when drinking becomes to far and then the game goes downhill. You need to find the right balance if you are looking to score well while drinking.

Its funny you mention that, cause the last game i just didnt give a shit and was hurling the ball down the alley and walking back before the ball even hit the pins......guess it worked

I bowled a 666 once and didn't bowl another 600 for about 4-5 weeks (this was about 3-4 years ago)
Didn't have another chance at one until this year... had 656 going into the fill ball in the 10th... we had already won the game so I tossed it in the ditch on purpose. I don't care how bad you throw a ball, you can always luck up and get a strike.. I wasn't chancing it again.

Today I shot a 279 & 204 went X 9/ then the next 9 last ball left a ringing ten pin.
First big game I have had in a long while. Avg. is now back up to 218.
