It will definitely be ZL1 vs. GT350R! Especially considering how close behind the 1LE was in BDC! I wish they would do this and a 1LE vs. GT350 at the same time!!!!

Ridiculous comparison honestly. Apart from the suspension and sharpness the GT 350 has attributes that the ZL1 doesn't. The 350 is damn well a perfect car. It has great suspension and engine that revs to the moon with long legs and brakes that will put you through the windshield and bleed off speed with ease. The ZL1 has in my opinion a better suspension and obviously more power. But the cabins are eons apart and Mustang is very airy and open and visible and Zl1 you feel as if you're looking out of a tank through a slit.

The performance metrics, the ZL1 will just destroy the GT350R. The subjective parts, styling, interior and engine noise might go to the Mustang. Never been a big Mustang guy, but I would have to say the GT350 is sharp. But the interior is a bit much compared to the Camaros more simplistic interior. I hate interiors with a billion buttons.

I think the zl1 will beat the 350r on the track as well. By how much depends on how many straightaways the zl1 has to stretch it legs.

It's about 3 seconds slower around Nurburgring

At what point is it considered "destroyed" rather than merely beaten? 20% faster?

Should be a fun test, I think most people would cross-shop ZL1 with GT350 and ZL1 1LE with GT350R though.

Nurburgring...? how about a commute to work with twisty roads and back...? Germany is a bit far to take a drive. Everyone obsessed with power the 350 is a high 11 car 12:00 ish and the Zl1 is beastly as well. I own both so can tell you the Gt350 is an amazing little car too. But totally different feels and experiences.

Just curious, not to start magazine racing. What published GT350R drag test made it in the 11's?

Evoms and few others eeked out 11.90 something I can tell you he car will go 11s @ sea level no issues there. I'll tell you an M6 ZL1 will pull it but won't be by much as you may think.
