yeah I know, but I am an ex 10th mountain guy and have the fender sitting around (I am too lazy to sell it). I am sure he will pay it forward and his car won't have to have paintwork done (99%) either.

Yes. I go around keying every enlisted/vet's SS owner's vehicle.

And if I see a C7 I shit on the hood.

That is rough OP, thankfully, a skilled paint guy should be able to blend that in like nothing ever happened.

I'm not sure that was done on purpose--doesn't make it any easier to deal with though.

It doesn't look like other cars I've seen keyed where there is a very definite starting point where the key digs in and then tapers off to nothing at the end. That looks like someone just brushed up against your car with something sharp, maybe a bag or purse.

I've used it.

For that, just use the clear coat that comes with Dr. Colorchip. Let it harden for about a week, then get to sanding (comes with some small strips of 3000 grit sand paper), then you'll polish, polish some more, and polish some more, and it'll be good as new.

It sucks, I know. This looks like a case of someone being careless, or even leaning against your car for a second. I had someone do it to my Mustang GT in the exact same area.

And thank you for your service.

Damn nice of you, good on ya Eddy. Spent my own enlistment based in Ft. Drum.

Plexus, really sorry to read about this. I hope it's the worst thing that ever happens with the car, and doesn't repeat. Hang in there.
